In the shadow of beating wings and slathering hunger does the duo of sanguine addiction descend from fallen stars to feed upon mortal meek and pleasure seek with names of Bat Magic and Cape of Bats left upon swollen tongues of drained succour.
Perverse orbs of light devouring darkness lend great majesty to these two entities of North American vampyric black metal mourn; Cape of Bats resurrected in the age of 2009 formed of members from the infamous Devil Master and Coffin Dust with Bat Magic unearthed in the age of 2016 formed of members from the mysterious Ordo Vampyr Orientis cabal. Their talons of terror combined in coagulated conspiracy, it would only be a matter of time that such nosferatu necromancy would birth an incantation between both coven cruels by the simple title of Split LP.
The first half of the incantation is taken by the shrouded suffering of Cape of Bats, whose own take on black metal has in much in flavour with punk and thrash, as it does with the blackened arts. Revelling in a scum stained mantle of miserable thrash melodics, d-beat percussive devastation, black rasping barks, dissonant production emaciation and reckless attitude abandon—Cape of Bats leave no hope of boredom with their slashing slaughter of gnashing chainmail cloak cruelty. The second half of the incantation is taken by the murderous malfeasance of Bat Magic, whose own flavours focus more on a battering black metal bolster, hinting at flashes of thrashing madness amongst the all consuming darkness. Devastating blast beat brutality, blistering tremolo dissonance, howling black rasps, grime tomb production and
contrasting breakdown sections are where Bat Magic aims its sanguine talons, succeeding in every stain of blood wept by its fangs. An oath sworn in hell by vampyric glee.
